Rooted in love, growing in faith, stronger together
Rooted in love – we nurture every child to flourish within God's family. Inspired by the Parable of the Mustard Seed, we believe that through faith even the smallest beginnings can grow into something strong, purposeful and life-giving.
Growing in faith – we live out our Christian values of hope, compassion, perseverance, forgiveness, courage and responsibility in all that we do, enabling every member of our community to develop spiritually, academically and personally.
Stronger together – as an inclusive community, we celebrate each person's unique gifts, support one another with kindness and respect, and empower all to make a positive difference in God's world.
"It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade."
Mark 4:31-32
Inspired by Jesus' parable of the mustard seed, we believe our school is a place where every child is welcomed, nurtured and enabled to flourish.
Jesus teaches that the Kingdom of God often begins in small and seemingly insignificant ways, yet grows into something strong and transformative that offers shelter, belonging and hope to all. In the same way, we seek to be a school community where every child is valued, included and encouraged to grow in confidence, character and faith.
Grounded in the Christian belief that every person is uniquely created and deeply loved by God, we recognise the worth, gifts and potential within each child. We are committed to creating a community where all feel safe within our branches, nourished in mind, body and spirit, and inspired to become the person God calls them to be.
Together, we grow in hope, responsibility, perseverance, forgiveness, compassion and courage so that all may flourish and bear fruit in the world.
Our rural setting provides a meaningful connection to this vision. The imagery of seeds, planting and growth is woven throughout school life and the curriculum, from learning about plants and life cycles in science, to exploring stories and texts in English, engaging with nature through Forest School, and studying the parables of Jesus in Religious Education. Through these experiences, children develop an understanding that growth takes time, care and perseverance, helping them to recognise their own potential to flourish and positively influence the world around them.
VALUES:
Our holistic and supportive curriculum enables the children to discover, explore and create, to identify their talents and sense of self-worth. We work with our local community to ensure the children grow to be kind, with a strong sense of identify at school, and within the local and wider community.
We have 6 school Christian Values – we teach one each term during Collective Worships each day. Exploring a termly value allows all in the community to explore their responses to Christian themes, rooted in Biblical texts.
Our Worship Leaders are Year 5 children that help lead worship in school by saying prayers, helping with Picture News and also leading Collective Worship and Church Services.
St Pancras Church
We enjoy walking to the church for our services each term.

SIAMS
SIAMS Inspection
Under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005, Church schools are inspected under the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools.
SIAMS explores ways in which each school’s theologically rooted Christian vision drives its work and enables the school to live up to its foundation as a Church school. It does so by seeking to answer six inspection questions:
IQ1: How does the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision enable pupils and adults to flourish?
IQ2: How does the curriculum reflect the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision?
IQ3: How is collective worship enabling pupils and adults to flourish spiritually?
IQ4: How does the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision create a culture in which pupils and adults are treated well?
IQ5: How does the school’s theologically rooted Christian vision create an active culture of justice and responsibility?
IQ6: Is the religious education curriculum effective?
SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision, and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish.
