Children can have special education needs if they have difficulties in one or more of the following areas, requiring support that's additional to and different from the support provided to other children:
- Communication and interaction
- Cognition and learning
- Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
- Sensory and/or physical needs
At Iford and Kingston, we support all children to achieve to the best of their ability, whether this is through quality first teaching, additional interventions, e.g. nurture groups, sensory circuits, play therapy etc., or working alongside external agencies to ensure that the children get the targeted support and provision they need.
If you feel your child has Special Educational Needs, please let us know as soon as possible. You can contact school on 01273 474973 or email IKoffice@skylarkfed.education
